This is the terrible company of the week. I did work for the owner of Urban Kulture Media for 1 month and I was not paid!!!! I am owed $1,000 for the work I did and I am also asking the company owner to reimburse me $100.00 for late fees on bills that I accrued as a result of him not paying me. This company is owned by a man named William J Clark from Orlando Florida. He supposedly also owns Nscope Marketing and Swag City Records. I find it a little alarming that 1 person can claim to own so many businesses, but can not manage to pay the people that are working under him.
I began working with Urban Kulture Media on September 28 2009 and worked until October 23 2009. I was supposed to receive my first pay from Mr Clark on October 16th. But when my check did not arrive by the 21st, I alerted him to that fact. He said that he would speak with his HR Department and get back to me. He got back to me and told me that he confirmed that I had been mailed a check and that he was not sure what the problem was. When I had not received my check by October 22, he informed me that he had a meeting with his account rep at ADP, since they are responsible for his payroll. When I contacted him Friday afternoon, he told me that he did not have the meeting with ADP as he was out of town and that it would have to wait until Monday, October 26th.
Needless to say, no meeting ever happened and Mr Clark has now chosen not to respond to my emails. I have sent several emails asking to be paid what I am owed and he simply will not respond. So at this point, I am alerting the public to this company. Mr Clark's email address is urbankulturemedia@yahoo.com He does promotions on Myspace.com Check out his "business" profiles:
His Personal Profile
Swag City Records
Urban Kulture Music Promotions
Urban Deevahs Modeling & Promotions
Nscope Media
Urban Kulture Events & Promotions
You want me to believe that you are actively promoting 5 companies and you can't find the money to pay me????? Sorry, I don't buy it! I think you want something for nothing. If you hire people Mr Clark, you should always pay people for the work they do. If you can't pay them, atleast try to work something out with them.
I will keep you updated on how this story unfolds and IF I ever get paid.
